The Company for Storage, a. s. is one of the important companies of the Slovak economy. The founders of Spoločnost' pre skladovanie, a. s. are TRANSPETROL, a. s. and the Administration of State Material Reserves of the Slovak Republic. On the basis of the in-kind contribution, TRANSPETROL, a. s. holds 86,55 % of the share capital and the Slovak State Material Reserves Administration holds 13,45 %.
The company's main business activity is the storage of crude oil and petroleum products, as well as the rental of storage facilities suitable for the storage of crude oil and petroleum products.
The main business activities of the Company for Storage, a. s. are carried out mainly for the Agency for Emergency Stocks of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products, for which it provides storage and maintenance activities of emergency stocks of crude oil and petroleum products.
In providing for the storage of emergency oil stocks, the Company analyses the environmental aspects of the activities and services performed at storage facilities that may have an impact on the environment. The storage facilities comply with the strict legislative requirements of Slovak standards and European standards for the protection and development of the environment.
